Uber Driver – I’m just a passenger in the lives of others
My name is Bill McHugh. Driving for Uber is my side hustle. It allows me to maintain my full time business and to have the flexibility to take care of my father who passed away on 2/11/17. I live to laugh, work hard, but continue to struggle just like everybody else (especially with religion). We can’t always please everybody but I pride myself in stating that I remain friends with everybody I ever dated or slept with in my single days – except Nancy (but I didn’t really sleep with her anyway). The people and situations I’ve encountered as a driver have changed my perspective on life. I’ve taken almost 2,000 rides late at night, early in the morning, and on the weekends. My rating is one of the highest in the state of Pennsylvania. I’ve been threatened, seduced, propositioned, and flashed. Along the way, I’ve met some of the best people imaginable and have even friended a few of them on Facebook. Please contact me if you are another Uber Driver or passenger who would like to share their story. The goal is to post 10 stories per week from the 2k rides I’ve taken. The stories are intended for your entertainment and to enlighten people of what really goes on in the world of Uber. Thank you for taking this ride with me.
